Author, pastor and speaker, Kylie Butler (nee Williams) grew up on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria and still resides there with husband Adam and 2 beautiful children Toby (7) and Lily (4).

Kylie began writing her first book, Milk to Meat, whilst pregnant with her second child Lily and continued to write and self-publish it during Lily’s day sleeps and many late nights.

It was after seeing many young people fall away from Jesus and those who didn’tunderstand the Bible that inspired Milk to Meat to be written. Kylie had not grown up in Church and knew very little about God. So when she became a Christian at the age of 15, she had a lot to learn and understand. Kylie tried many different devotional methods and reading plans but none had stuck or impacted her everyday life; until she began journaling. Journaling changed her devotional life, her love for the Word and her love for God. It was a prompting from God in 2005 that drove her to help others to do the same, and so came, Milk to Meat. What changed? It was finding a format of bible engagement that worked for her, an understanding of how God spoke to her personally through the word and a way to connect with God’s word that was meaningful to her personally. Kylie is passionate about bible engagement.

Kylie spent eight years as the Youth & Young Adult Pastor (together with her husband Adam) at New Peninsula Church, a church passionate about helping people centre their lives on Christ. Under Kylie’s (and Adam’s) leadership the youth ministry grew from 20 to 200 with a number of their youth leaders now serving as pastors around Australia. Kylie now spends her time coaching leaders and speaking on bible engagement and coaching across Australia. Prior to this time Kylie worked in banking and financial planning with Colonial First State, Westpac Bank and Rawlings & Associates. She has a Diploma in Financial Planning, Certificate IV in Professional Coaching, and an accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation and a Certificate III in Prayer Ministry. Kylie is currently completing her Bachelor of Theology and International Accreditation in Coaching.

These days when Kylie’s not enjoying time with her family or working with churches and organisations on bible engagement, she loves speaking to others, to inspire them to fall in love with Jesus, to have a healthy family/work balance, mentoring & coachingleaders & every now and then enjoying a surf & a good coffee.

"I have known Kylie Butler since 1995. I have seen her grow and develop from one of those stand out young people to an effective preacher and minister of the Gospel. " Dale Stephenson is the Senior Pastor of Crossway Church, Victoria, and Director of 'Capernwray Torchbearers'.
